Read-A-Thon

Thanks to all the students and their parents for all the hard work they put into Read-A-Thon.  Experts agree this one simple thing students can do to improve their reading:  PRACTICE!

When the Read-A-Thon began, a calendar of events was created with the class.  Many students asked for a top prize for those readers that went above and beyond expectations.  While in class we decided that the top three students, the race for fourth place was so close that I decided to add an additional prize.  Below are the pictures of the four students who read the most minutes in the class!  Keiryn came in first with over 3 400 reading minutes!

Here is a picture of those students who read over 1 000 minutes!

Here is a picture of those students who met our reading goal for the month.  The aim was for 15 minutes
each night.

Since our class met the overall goal, our original goal was to celebrate with a Bowling party.  Unfortunately, that is no longer open.  As a result, students voted to watch a movie instead.
